GUIDE: Monday in Petaluma

Monday fun day! Not everything is open in town on Monday. Here are places I like to go and things I like to do on Monday.

Sunrise River Park walk - I like to walk with Deb from Cool Petaluma (if you don’t know about cool Petaluma take a moment to see all the good work they are doing) at sunrise downtown to River Park off D Street. We walk the loop at River Park and head back up by Grand Central to Copeland St. to David Best arch and back into town. This is a great way to see town, art and the river. It can be done at any time of day.

Grab coffee at Grand Central @ 226 Weller St. They are open daily with chairs that look out on the river.

Then onto picking up dinner prep at Jupiter Foods @ 100 Petaluma Blvd N. on the way into the store. Dan always has something new for me to try. My current obsession is Dan Dan Sauce. Go see him and ask him about it. Many times, I am testing a recipe from cookbooks from Estuary.

If I was not at the store and I needed to get lunch on Monday here are the spots to go to:

Wild Goat @ 6 Petaluma Blvd. North #A5

Taps on the River @ 50 Washington St (River Plaza)

Brewsters @ 228 Water Street North

Stellina Alimentari @ 160 Petaluma Blvd North

Lunchette @ 25 4th St

After work I met local downtown business owner, Mary of Mad Architecture. We hit the tennis courts at our local park that are taken care of by our local tennis association, Petaluma Tennis Association.

If I am too tired or it is a special occasion, I head to Sake 107 @ 107 Petaluma Blvd N for the best Japanese food in town.

Let me know what you think of this plan. Stop by the store on a Monday to say hello and see what we have available for you to bring home happiness.
