GUIDE: Friday & Saturday in Petaluma

Finally, the weekend. Petaluma is an amazing weekend destination. If you are coming from the bay area there are many fun (and free) ways to get to town

1- Boat – bring your boat up to the yacht club

2- Smart train (free for seniors)

3-  Bus (free for seniors and kids under 18)

Locals are all excited when the weekend comes around because Della Fattoria is open, and this is a cause for celebration. Della makes the best bread in the world. They are also a full-service restaurant so you can sit for brunch or just pick up bread. Before you sit for breakfast grab the Argus Courier, Petaluma’s local paper, to learn about what is happening in town.

After brunch head over the river. The best way to see the river is to kayak on the water. And if you need a kayak, the Floathouse has you covered.  They can equip you with paddle boards, or kayaks or really any other vessel that doesn’t have a massive engine. There is Stand up Paddle board Yoga offered through The Yoga Post during Spring & Summer.

Also at the Floathouse you can even take your dogs with you on these little tours. If you are lucky you can do a moon light paddle. You also might be able to catch the floating lemonade stand that is only accessible on the river.

Since it is the weekend here is what you find me doing after I close the store

If you want a casual dinner we go to Croaked Goat Brewery and enjoy craft beer (they also offer non acholic drinks) and quality food. And, if you feel like it, play a board game, they have quite a few.

If you want to impress your date or just treat yourself, head to TC Provision.
